Web 2.0 Run Amok

Maybe I'm being too hard on this, and I'm not saying everything I've done is perfect, but to me, this is just gross. What is with the Skittles color scheme? And try clicking the big advertising widget on the right -- the colors cycle maniacally. Don't let the AJAX junkies fool you -- Flash is just a way better choice for this sort of animated widget.

It doesn't get any better as you progress into the site. These tabs are jarring, and just plain awful.

I guess I wouldn't be so shocked if it weren't a mammoth company like Comcast. They probably spent a bazillion dollars on this. Couldn't they have a hired a top-rate designer? Actually, it seems like this was designed by committee. So maybe it wasn't the poor designer's fault at all.
